Glory Agbor, wife of suspended Cross River lawmaker Ovat Dickson Agbor, has dismissed allegations of domestic violence involving her husband, stating that a viral video showing her with facial injuries was fabricated using artificial intelligence. She maintained that no assault occurred and described the footage as misleading.
Glory Agbor said the video circulating online, which depicts her with a swollen face and visible bruises, does not reflect reality. In a fresh recording released on Monday, she appeared without injuries and insisted the claims were false.
Her husband, Ovat Dickson Agbor, represents Obubra I State Constituency in the state legislature. He was suspended indefinitely by the Cross River State House of Assembly following reports alleging he physically assaulted his wife.
Addressing the controversy, Glory Agbor said the viral content was likely generated with AI tools or circulated to damage her husband’s political standing ahead of upcoming elections. She reiterated that no incident of violence took place.
“Nothing of such happened,” she said in the video. “I am fine. There are no marks on my face.”
