Monday Okpebholo has conducted an inspection tour of major road projects across Edo State, reaffirming his administration’s focus on infrastructure quality and timely completion. The projects are located within Edo Central Senatorial District and form part of ongoing efforts to improve transportation and economic activity in the area.
The governor visited four road projects, including the Uromi–Agbor Road, Ukpenu Road, Ujoelen Road and Illeh Road. He was accompanied by senior government officials and the contractors responsible for the works.
During the tour, Okpebholo evaluated the progress recorded at each site and directed contractors to maintain high construction standards. He stressed the need for strict adherence to approved specifications and project timelines.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Patrick Ebojele, the governor said the inspections were part of routine monitoring to ensure public infrastructure projects meet required benchmarks.
Okpebholo said the state government remains committed to strengthening road networks to improve connectivity between communities and support commercial activities.
Contractors on the projects briefed the governor on the status of work and expressed confidence that all timelines would be met.
The inspected projects are part of broader infrastructure development initiatives designed to enhance mobility for residents across Edo Central and adjoining areas.
