Delta APC praises Tinubu for his appointments and palliative care

The Leaders and Elders Forum of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta state have expressed their appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his efforts in providing subsidy removal palliatives to both the state of Delta and the entire nation of Nigeria.

The aforementioned statement is enclosed within a written communication that was collectively signed by the Chairman of the forum, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo, and other participants at the conclusion of their meeting on Friday in Asaba.

The Delta All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed gratitude to the president for the appointment of Festus Keyamo as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, as well as Chiedu Ebie and Monday Igbuys as chairman and member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

In contrast, the forum has levied allegations against the Delta Government, asserting that they have engaged in the politicization and misuse of the distribution procedure for the rice provisions, which were intended to alleviate the repercussions of fuel subsidy elimination on the populace.

Based on the official communication, the administration of Delta state has been allocated a total of 17,400 bags of rice, each weighing 50 kilograms, by the Federal administration. These provisions are intended for equitable distribution throughout the entirety of the state.

The forum made an accusation that the state government engaged in misconduct during the distribution process by exclusively designating its own members to oversee committees at different levels.

The forum expressed its pleasure with the measures implemented by the Tinubu administration, specifically its palliative program aimed at mitigating the impact of subsidy reduction in the petroleum sector.

The living conditions of Nigerian citizens, particularly those residing in the Delta region, have been significantly impacted by this situation.

The forum expressed contentment with the perseverance exhibited by the members of the political party in the state, despite facing intimidation, physical harm, unjustified arrests on trivial grounds, and deprivation under the leadership of the administration in Delta.

The forum made an appeal to all members of the party who may have concerns over the appointments, urging them to refrain from engaging in conflict in order to prioritize the party’s interests.
