Premier League club Chelsea have strengthened their youth setup with the addition of Riley Ebho and Jashayde Greenwood, who have both signed scholarship contracts with the club’s Under-18 team.
The Blues confirmed the signings in a statement published on their official website on Monday, noting that the two players will link up with Hassan Sulaiman’s squad, which has enjoyed a strong start to the Under-18 Premier League season.
Rising Stars Join the Blues
Riley Ebho, a highly rated 16-year-old right-back, joins from West Ham United, where he impressed last season with the Hammers’ Under-18 side despite still being a schoolboy. His pace, technical ability, and defensive awareness have earned him recognition as one of the promising young defenders in English football.
Jashayde Greenwood, on the other hand, arrives from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The centre-forward has already made his mark at Chelsea, featuring in the Under-18 Premier League earlier this season. He has also represented England at various youth levels, showcasing his attacking instincts and versatility.
Greenwood scored one goal in seven appearances for Wolves’ youth side before making the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea said both players’ arrivals reflect the club’s ongoing commitment to developing young talents and maintaining one of the strongest academies in world football — a system that has produced stars like Reece James, Mason Mount, and Levi Colwill.
