My well-documented name change from Siddiq to Atiku Abubakar’ — Ex-VP

According to the Atiku Media Office, there is an assertion that the Presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are deliberately attempting to involve former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in a forgery issue as a strategic maneuver to diminish the allegations against President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement released on Sunday, Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to Atiku, expressed the view that Tinubu and his associates should refrain from any further endeavors to draw comparisons between the President and Atiku.

He maintained that all the names attributed to Atiku are verifiably linked to his ancestral lineage.

It should be acknowledged that the claim made by Bola A. Tinubu regarding Atiku’s alleged involvement in forgery is contradicted by documented evidence. Specifically, there exists an affidavit dated August 18, 1973, which substantiates the name change of the former Vice President from Siddiq Abubakar to Atiku Abubakar. This affidavit has been publicly available for a span of 50 years, coinciding with the duration of Tinubu’s alleged history of engaging in forgery and falsehoods.

The user claimed that Tinubu has engaged in the act of forgery and deception pertaining to several aspects of his personal history, including his lineage, nomenclature, and birthdate, alongside his educational background, certifications, and professional tenure.

It should be noted that the disclosure of Tinubu’s records at Chicago State University and the subsequent court-ordered deposition in the United States merely represents a small fraction of the overall situation.

He stated: “The endeavor of Bola A. Tinubu to involve Atiku Abubakar in his sinking realm of forgery should be recognized as an effort to downplay the accusations of forgeries that he is currently facing.”

It has been asserted that there is evidence supporting the assertion that Tinubu obtained admittance into the university through the act of impersonation.

The inclusion of the middle name “Adekunle” in Bola A. Tinubu’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate on Wikipedia, which occurred on October 6, 2023, has raised questions among observers.
