The newly formed ministry is set to be named the Ministry of Innovation Science & Technology, as conveyed in a statement by Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, Secretary to the Kogi State Government.
The statement further elucidated that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has sanctioned the appointment of Dr.
Adeniyi Helen Aderibigbe as the Commissioner designate for this newly created ministry. Additionally, Mr.
Atuluku Levi Victor has been appointed as the Commissioner designate for the Ministry of Transportation.
Moreover, a noteworthy change has been made in the nomenclature of the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, which will now simply be referred to as the Ministry of Education.
Furthermore, Governor Ododo has also given his approval for the appointment of heads of various agencies within the state.
Among those appointed are Aishat Oyiza Omede as the Director-General of the Kogi State Social Investment Program Agency, Afolabi Joseph Raji as the Chairman of the Kogi State Scholarship Board, Engr.
Yunusa Aminu Alhassan as the Managing Director of the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), and Barr. Moses Okezie Okafor as the Director-General of Research & Development.
Additionally, Paul Peter Jibrin has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM), Aminu Abdulrazak as the Managing Director of the Kogi State Traffic Management Agency (KOTRAMA), Ahovi Salami Ibrahim as the Manager Director of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), and Bello Salim Ogirima George as the Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Project (ADP).
In his congratulatory message, Governor Ododo extended his best wishes to all the appointees and urged them to swiftly embark on their duties, emphasizing the importance of delivering immediate impact towards the development and progress of the state.
