Both the Federal and state governments can draw valuable lessons from the success of the Customs Services in effectively deploying and delivering palliative care to conscientious Nigerians who value transparency and accountability.
The establishment of offices and commodity stores in all 774 Local Government Areas, as suggested by some, to provide subsidized goods to the public can be further enhanced by adopting the model of the Nigerian Customs Services' NIN initiative. This strategy could not only facilitate access to essential government-controlled commodities but also help rebuild trust between the government and the people, instilling confidence in the Nigerian populace.
