The Nigerian Army issued a warning to candidates participating in the 86 Regular Recruits Intake, cautioning against engaging in manipulative and fraudulent activities that could compromise the recruitment process. 


The alert, conveyed by Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, was prompted by a circulating video depicting the apprehension of candidates attempting to manipulate the selection in Lagos State. 


Nwachukwu emphasized the army's commitment to transparency and fairness in recruitment, highlighting the arrest as evidence of the measures taken to verify candidates' authenticity. 


The State Representative, integral to the process, scrutinized candidates' state of origin, ensuring compliance with recruitment guidelines. 


The army pledged a thorough investigation into the fraudulent acts, emphasizing its dedication to selecting qualified candidates. 


Nwachukwu affirmed collaboration with authorities to ensure accountability and legal action against those involved, urging candidates to uphold honesty throughout the recruitment process. 


The army reiterated its commitment to the rule of law and solicited public support in maintaining the integrity of the recruitment process.
