Late on Tuesday night in Pakistan's northwest, ten members of a family, including a two-year-old, were brutally killed.
The victims included two brothers, their wives, six children under 12, and a guest in Lakki Marwat district.
While the initial investigation doesn't suggest terrorism, police are exploring the possibility of a personal vendetta.
Such inter-family feuds, common in Pakistan, can be particularly violent in the northwestern region, influenced by traditional honor codes.
Police officials stated that the victims were killed with a sharp-edged weapon, and some had gunshot wounds.
The incident was reported by neighbors, and investigations are ongoing.
