President Tinubu extends Farah's appointment as head of NITT.

President Bola Tinubu has granted approval for the reappointment of Dr. Bayero Farah as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, for a second term lasting four years. 

The statement confirming the reappointment was released by the institute's spokesperson, Mr. John Kolawale. 

The reappointment, effective from January 13, was conveyed through a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume. 

It aligns with the provisions of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology Act of 1986. Farah's outstanding performance has been credited with the significant transformation of NITT since joining in 1994. 

He progressively advanced through the ranks, assuming the position of Director in 2013 and officially becoming DG/CEO on January 13, 2020.
