PDP in Benue is unfazed by defection to the APC

 

The Benue Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains unfazed by the departure of its officials to the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

Mr. Bemgba Iortyom, the state PDP publicity secretary, conveyed this sentiment in a statement released in Makurdi. 

He acknowledged the defection of two party officials, Mr. Yandev Amaabai, a National Ex-officio, and Mr. Mbakorlumun Chia, the state Vice-Chairman for Benue North-West Senatorial District, who are scheduled to join the APC on January 4. 

Iortyom expressed the party's well-wishes to them on their political journey, recognizing that such shifts between opposition and ruling parties have become a common occurrence in Nigeria's political landscape.
