Nigerians lament cash shortage as banks and PoS providers share the blame

Residents in Ibadan are expressing frustration over ongoing cash shortages, with banks and Point of Sales (PoS) operators pointing fingers at each other for the situation. 

Despite being well past the festive season, some banks in Ibadan still enforce limits on cash withdrawals from ATMs. 

Entrepreneurs and business owners report challenges in accessing sufficient cash for their needs, leading many to turn to PoS operators. 

However, some bank officials claim PoS operators are responsible for the scarcity, accusing them of withdrawing excessive amounts from ATMs. 

This ongoing issue is affecting various sectors and hindering daily business operations for residents.
