Interrogators from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are waiting for the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, at their Abuja headquarters.
President Bola Tinubu suspended Edu following recommendations by the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, to allow for a thorough investigation into the alleged payment of N585.189 million intended for vulnerable groups into a private account.
The commission has invited Edu, and her arrival is expected shortly.
Meanwhile, former Minister Sadiya Umar-Farouq underwent hours of questioning on Monday and is expected to return for further clarifications related to an alleged laundering of N37.1 billion.
