Adeleke also established a section for observation and assessment in order to conduct quarterly performance reviews of cabinet members.
The governor made the comments while speaking at the first-ever State Executive Council meeting, according to a statement released on Wednesday in Osogbo by Mr. Kolapo Alimi, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment.
Council members were also given instructions by Adeleke "to redouble their efforts in service delivery to the people."
It is important to remember that 2024 will be a pivotal year for this administration. We will be approaching the midterm around December. Our sectoral plans need to be implemented quickly.
“To reach goals, each of you must put in a lot of effort in your different ministries. Please take note that I have assembled a covert team to monitor and evaluate cabinet members' performance and prepare quarterly reports on ministries.
"Even though you did not sign a performance bond when you took office, your service delivery will now be the basis for evaluation.
According to Monitoring and Evaluation reports, "We will not hesitate to remove from office any appointee that fails to deliver," the speaker declared.
Adeleke asked the cabinet members to stop pursuing personal benefit issues and instead concentrate on pressing state challenges.
The council also gave its approval to the state's selection of six new traditional rulers. All of the appointments, according to the announcement, were effective right away.
The council also authorized the promotion of eleven additional Osun State traditional rulers to Part II (Recognized) Status of the Chief Law, Cap 25, Laws of Osun State, 2002.
