Speaking yesterday in Abuja at the ABG CNG Plant's commissioning and the graduation of 40 CNG conversion technicians, Idris said that CNG is a more economical option for transportation and praised President Bola Tinubu's vision in promoting its use as a leading substitute for premium motor spirits in the powering of both private and commercial vehicles.
"The CNG is the future," he declared, emphasizing the need for Nigerian businesspeople to take advantage of government initiatives supporting the fuel by making the kind of material and human capital investments necessary to expand the fuel's infrastructure throughout the country.
The minister stated that the Nigerian Labour Congress has embraced CNG and its associated opportunities, and that the government has initially committed N100 billion to the project.
ABG Group Chairman Bawa Garba made the following statement during his speech: "Our group is thankful to President Tinubu for the bold decision to adopt CNG." As a company, we have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our training of several CNG conversion engineers around Nigeria is proof of our commitment to the CNG effort.
