Makinde urges calm in the midst of chaos as an explosion hits Ibadan

Panic and confusion have gripped residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, following an explosion that occurred on Tuesday evening around 7:45 pm. 

The incident, centered around the Bodija area, created uncertainty throughout the city, with eyewitnesses describing it as a deafening sound accompanied by sudden cloudiness. 

The explosion, visible even in the University of Ibadan area, led to vibrations felt across various locations. The cause and exact location remain unknown, prompting a response from the state rescue team. 

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has called for calm, deploying security and fire operatives to address the situation.
