Lagos sees its first downpour of 2024.

Lagos sees its first downpour of 2024.As the cloud released the first rain of 2024, some Lagos State citizens voiced conflicting emotions.

On Wednesday, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos learned that there were brief morning rainfall showers in several areas of Surulere, Anthony, and Ojuelegba. The showers lasted approximately twenty minutes.

Surulere resident Yinka Olufemi told NAN that she heard rainfall while taking a bath at around ten in the morning.

Olufemi claimed that in order to view raindrops, she had to peek through the window.

"At first, I was happy to see the rain coming this time of year, but I wasn't happy when I found out that the car I took the time to wash was damaged by the dust that came with the rain," Olufemi stated.

Uche Okafor, a different resident of Lagos, told NAN that he was traveling to Costain from Anthony Village, a suburb of Lagos, when the Anthony/Ojuelegba corridor began to get unexpected downpours.

Some other locals wanted the rain to continue longer in order to relieve the heat that the dry season was bringing.
