Toke Benson Awoyinka, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, made this commitment during the graduation and awards ceremony of 117 filmmakers produced by EbonyLife Creative Academy in partnership with the state government.
Awoyinka, represented by Adebukola Agbaminoja, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, emphasized the government's dedication to creating an enabling environment for aspiring filmmakers in Lagos.
The state has invested in the creative industry to add value and foster growth within the film sector.
The Commissioner commended the graduating students, acknowledging their hard work and passion for filmmaking.
The 117 filmmakers underwent three months of extensive training in various aspects of filmmaking, including scriptwriting, screen acting, producing, and visual post-production.
The training aimed to equip them with the necessary skills, resources, and opportunities to thrive in the competitive industry.
The award ceremony recognized outstanding achievements, with accolades for Best Location Sound and Best Original Score, among others.
