Lafia saw protests following the Supreme Court's ruling on the Nasarawa governorship election.
Protests erupted in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, following the Supreme Court's affirmation of Abdullahi Sule as the state governor.

Demonstrators blocked the Lafia-Jos highway, disrupting traffic, burning tires, and prompting the closure of banks, shops, businesses, and schools in the city.

Concerned residents called for increased security presence to restore calm amid rising tensions.

Protesters alleged that the Supreme Court's ruling was influenced by prominent monarchs, fueling fears of a potential crisis in various parts of the state.

Security agencies have not responded to inquiries as of the latest report. Further details are awaited.
