In response to the recent surge in abductions in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and other parts of the country, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun held a crucial meeting with the Force Management Team and Tactical Squads on January 15, 2024.

The meeting focused on reviewing current security challenges, strategic planning, and deploying tactical resources to address emerging threats.

The IGP emphasized the need for a coordinated and intelligence-driven approach to tackle the evolving security landscape.

Tactical squads were instructed to intensify proactive measures, and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, was tasked with coordinating heightened security strategies in the FCT to combat criminal activities and restore normalcy.

The IGP also highlighted the importance of community engagement and collaboration with stakeholders to gather information and foster collective efforts against criminal elements.
