Umakhihe pledged to revamp and enhance the Police-Community Relations Committee (PCRC) as a solution to the security challenges in Edo State.
Presenting his manifesto titled "A Fresh Start for a Shared Posterity," Umakhihe highlighted the PCRC's vital role in crime prevention and detection, emphasizing its potential to bridge the gap between the police and the public.
He proposed strengthening existing security initiatives such as the PCRC, Neighbourhood Watch, Constabulary Scheme, and Traditional Institutions to improve intelligence gathering and ensure prompt and decisive responses.
Umakhihe's manifesto also addresses policy options for agriculture, education, food security, crime prosecution, and the early resolution of boundary disputes to tackle major causes of insecurity.
