The Good Governance Watch Initiative (GGWI) has praised the decision to relocate the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to Lagos, citing it as being in the nation's best interest.
Commending the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, the group acknowledged the minister's efforts in implementing reforms and policies for the aviation sector.
Dr. Ikechukwu Cecilia, the group's convener, emphasized that the move rectifies past irrational decisions, stating that Lagos, being the operational hub of air traffic, is the most suitable location for FAAN's headquarters.
The initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and address economic challenges within the aviation sector.
The GGWI urged Nigerians to support the minister, highlighting the government's genuine commitment to addressing economic issues in the country.
