Election observers are asked to apply to INEC for a by-election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) interested in observing the February rerun and by-election to apply through an online portal by January 17. 

The INEC notice, issued by the acting Director of Electoral Party Monitoring (EPM), Mrs. Hauwa Habib, urged organizations to complete the application form available at http://observergroups.inecnigeria.org. 

The application form (EC14A(l)) completion is the only accepted means, and organizations should provide information on legal status, previous registration with INEC, and other relevant details. The deadline for submission is January 17, 2024.
