Cross River College of Education is destroyed by fire

A fire engulfed the academic complex of SteadyFlow College of Education in Akparabong Community, Ikom Local Government Area, Cross River State. 

The incident occurred yesterday, resulting in the destruction of academic facilities valued at millions of naira. 

Fortunately, there were no casualties. 

The fire reportedly started when a passerby accidentally discarded a cigarette filter near a bush close to the perimeter fence, leading to a bush fire that spread into the school premises. Hon. 

Jones Tangban, the founder of the college, attributed the incident to indiscriminate bush burning and appealed for assistance from NEMA and SEMA to address the aftermath.
