A commissioner from Enugu reads the Riot Act to building companies.
Following Governor Peter Mbah's directive in Enugu State, insisting on the swift completion of ongoing urban road projects, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Gerald Otiji, has cautioned construction firms that failure to meet the given deadline will result in sanctions, in accordance with the laws and contract terms.

The commissioner issued a 20-day ultimatum for the construction companies to expedite ongoing phase one road projects through day and night work, emphasizing that failure to meet targets would lead to blacklisting and the inability to secure future jobs in the state.

Gerald, during an inspection of road construction sites in the state capital, stressed the governor's commitment to connecting all roads for improved transportation.

He commended firms that had completed their projects and warned against excuses for delays, stating that progress tracking and daily reporting were mandatory.

The commissioner urged citizens to participate in monitoring and reporting acts that could sabotage the state's peace and infrastructure initiatives.
