Yuletide: A newborn is delivered on Christmas Day in Edo, and FACAF celebrates orphans
The Family Care Advocacy Foundation (FACAF), a non-governmental organization, supported and gave gifts to 20 nursing moms and their newborns who were born on Christmas day at the Benin Central hospital on Tuesday.

Pastor David Uwoghiren, Director of the Family Care Advocacy Foundation (FACAF), stated that the purpose of the act is to support families, the oppressed, and unfortunate children during the holiday season.

Speaking to reporters while on a foundation visit to Benin Central Hospital to deliver gifts to infants and their moms, Uwoghiren explained that the purpose of the tour is to spread the holiday cheer to those confined to the hospital.

According to Uwoghiren, the foundation's custom is to visit expecting mothers and newborns in hospitals throughout the state throughout the holiday season.

"This is the forth edition of this project and it keep getting better by the year and we hope by God's grace to continue this great vision that has been assigned to us," he continued, noting that even the animals in the orphanage are loved and cared for by all.

The organization made contact with 20 moms and their infants this year. After that, the group went to two of the city's orphanages. The Benin City orphanages Aid People Change, located on Obakhawaye Street, and Iwinosa, located on the same street, are both charitable organizations.

"The season is here to share the same love that Christ shared with all of us, and Christ is the reason for the season." Uwoghiren stated.

As said by Cadmus Atake-Enade, a foundation member, "it's a season of love and for that reason everyone is important and God cares about everyone that is why we are sharing that same love to everyone." The foundation is dedicated to making the orphans smile.

The People Aid People Change Home's coordinator, Mrs. Asia Osagie, praised the foundation for its donations to the kids and expressed gratitude for its unwavering support of the less fortunate kids in the orphanage and for always being kind to everyone.

To conclude the year's activities, the foundation members visited the Iwinosa orphanage and gave the kids there some food and amenities.
