Speaking at the occasion, the group's coordinator, Sokshak Shikse, stated that the purpose of the walk was to symbolize the governor's developmental achievements.
Shikse clarified that participants in the walk came from all around the states and were not biased by tribe, religion, or politics.
According to him, the Plateau people voted for Mutfwang in a landslide, therefore the solidarity walk will encourage the governor to take more initiatives for the state's advancement.
The administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang has achieved noticeable advancements in a short period of time following his inauguration, including the development of human capital, the rehabilitation of roads, the supply of various social amenities, and the protection of lives and property.
Everyone has observed his zeal for promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence among the state's many populations.
"In fact, the Plateau people have quickly seen the benefits of exceptional leadership—a trait that the state has been lacking for a long time.
"The Plateau Support Network and responsible state residents have joined here to offer the governor our unwavering, unwavering, and overwhelming support and vote of confidence for all of these reasons, as well as many more.
"We think that, as demonstrated by past civilizations, the deeds of a devoted public servant like him leave legacies that will positively affect the lives of generations yet unborn," he stated.
Shikse urged the Supreme Court's judges to conduct a thorough investigation and follow the law, stating that the majority of Plateau citizens were appalled by the Appeal Court's decision to void the governor's election.
"There is a serious danger to the popular will of the peaceful residents of Plateau, as demonstrated by their votes on March 18.
"All we ask is that the court strictly abide by the constitution's provisions regarding the process of its judgment, and acknowledge and respect the mandate that the people have given the governor."
"We have faith in the sacred chambers of our judiciary and trust that, with God's assistance, her honorable judges will consider the appeal at the Supreme Court with moderation and an unwavering sense of justice.
"The Plateau people will never forget how our beloved state rose from the ashes of egregious misgovernance, and how strongly we believe in Gov. Caleb Mutfwang's leadership," he continued.
The young people started their march at the well-known secretariat intersection and proceeded to other areas of Jos while chanting songs of solidarity, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Additionally, they carried placards bearing various inscriptions.
