The event, with the theme "Pathway to Possibilities: Nurturing Dreams Through Knowledge," was planned by the Vice President of the Student Union Government (SUG) and took place at the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurship Studies on the university's main campus in Awka.
The organizers wanted students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and be inspired to pursue their aspirations by learning.
Ozigbo, the creator of the Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (VCO) Foundation, encouraged the children to pose questions that were related to the program's topic and led them in a needs-based conversation.
One of the kids, Ezechukwu Casmir, showed respect for Ozigbo and asked for tips on how to follow in his footsteps. Ozigbo's outstanding resume was praised by a different student, Innocent Okafor, who also asked about his method for efficient time management and said, "You will be doing us evil if you don't contest in the next election."
The questions from the students covered a wide range of topics related to Ozigbo's remarkable professional journey, such as how he handled failure, overcame difficulties in Nigeria's difficult business climate, kept up an active social media presence, and where he found inspiration.
In his reply, Ozigbo—who was recently named to the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA) Board as a Non-Executive Director and leader for Africa—emphasized the need of perseverance and divine intervention in reaching professional achievement.
Ozigbo reminded the young audience, "Success isn't just about what you accomplish in life; it's about the obstacles you overcome and the dreams you nurture through knowledge."
"Remember that learning and perseverance pave the route to possibilities.
Knowing your strengths and shortcomings is like having a compass on your life journey, directing you in the right direction.
"Make the most of your advantages and work tirelessly to improve your flaws. They are your growth's silent protectors, he continued.
Ozigbo emphasized the significance of emotional intelligence and advised against undervaluing it in relation to academic intelligence. He emphasized the value of exercising restraint, being flexible and sociable, and making a good impression on everyone you come into contact with.
We go forward with the help of an invisible power called emotional intelligence. According to Ozigbo, it's not just about our intelligence but also how well we relate to, adjust to, and resonate with other people.
"Adaptability is more than just a talent in a world that is changing all the time—it's a superpower. True resilience is the capacity to change course gracefully in the face of difficulty.
Along with other notable attendees, the occasion included Prof. Stella Okunna, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Paul University, who is the first female professor of mass communication in Nigeria.
One of the few international champions of Kaizen, Valentine Ozigbo, the immediate past president and group CEO of Transcorp Plc, was given a distinguished humanitarian award as the event's high point in appreciation of his unwavering support for youth engagement and capacity building in Anambra State and beyond.
This occasion was a turning point in the development of the next wave of entrepreneurs and leaders, with Ozigbo's perspectives offering a path forward for students hoping to have a big influence in their professions.
