Three Oyo traditional lords were confirmed dead in a vehicle accident by the FRSC.
Three traditional rulers lost their lives in an automobile accident that happened in Ogbomoso on Friday, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Ibadan, Mr. Joshua Adekanye, the FRSC Sector Commander for Oyo State, stated that speeding and improper overtaking were the reasons for the car accident.

Adekanye stated that there were two cars involved: a white Scania truck with registration number MUS 301 XF and a white M/Benz E230 automobile with registration number OLODOGBO.

According to him, there were six persons in the disaster; three of them perished and the other three were hurt.

According to Adekanye, "the corpses were deposited at the same hospital morgue while the injured victims were taken to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso."

However, an eyewitness named Mr. Samuel Oloruntoba told NAN that the tragedy claimed the lives of the traditional leaders of the Odogbo, Bowula, and Ayetoro communities in the Orire local government areas of Oyo state.

Oloruntoba claims that the tragedy happened in the Arinkinkin district of Ogbomoso as the victims were traveling to a burial celebration for a relative of another traditional ruler in the area.

He claimed that the Obas died after the deceased traditional rulers' Mercedes Benz collided with an approaching truck.
