Speaking on the topic "Africa, It's Your Time," Dr. Adesina, who served as Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture under the Goodluck Jonathan Administration from 2015 to 2019, will make an appearance.
Three eminent Nigerians will receive honorary degrees at the convocation: Chief Anthony Idigbe SAN, Most Reverend Fortunatus Nwachukwu, and President of the African Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, according to a statement from the University's Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication, Ben Agande.
Professor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Ichoku, the university's vice chancellor, said that 519 students will receive first degrees, 68 will receive master's degrees, and five will receive doctorates.
34 undergraduates received first-class degrees, 236 received second-class upper division degrees, 219 received second-class lower division degrees, and 31 received third-class degrees out of the total number of graduates who will be given at the convocation.
With 115 alumni, the Department of Computer Science has the most graduates, while the Department of Marketing has the fewest graduates (3).
