According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the incident on December 13 destroyed properties valued at millions of Naira and had an impact on 18 offices.
This was declared by Alhaji Aminu Gwarzo, the state's deputy governor, while he was visiting the damaged council secretariat to assess the extent of the fire's destruction.
He clarified that the Kabiru Yusuf administration is making all effort to guarantee that justice was served in the impending Supreme Court ruling.
Gwarzo, who also serves as the state's commissioner for chieftaincy affairs and local government, pleaded with the populace to maintain composure and obey the law.
He promised that the current administration would not be sidetracked from delivering commendable projects that will improve the well-being of the people, even in the face of stress in the state caused by the period of time until judgment.
"I promise that until the offenders are located and held accountable, we won't give up.
"Governor Abba is focused and determined to have his victory no matter what. We cannot be derailed by miscreants to abundant our mandate because that is the ultimate goal of those who are creating chaos in Kano," he said.
He said that every effort would be made by the state administration to put an end to the state's destruction or burning of public property.
"All citizens are urged to maintain composure and trust that the current administration is monitoring the situation and ready to address any individual who may pose a threat to the state's peaceful coexistence.
The deputy governor issued a statement saying, "The public is advised to keep ignoring all pressure groups that are trying to ignite confrontation between residents and security agencies in the state."
