TETFund, the university live-wire in Nigeria — VCProfessor Chigozie Ogbu, Ebony Vice-Chancellor

According to the state University (EBSU), the TETFund has been the backbone of the country's academic institutions.

Ogbu said this in Abakaliki during the formal opening of many university initiatives supported by the TETFund.

The Faculty of Education building, the University Library, and the Center for Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Research are among the projects, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The vice-chancellor mentioned that the faculty of education building has two lecture halls, 66 offices, three large teaching laboratories, and 27 classrooms spread across four floors.

The university library is a three-story building that houses the faculty sections, binding, references, cataloging, and e-library. There includes a board room, twelve offices, and a bookshop area.

He described the ICT as a two-story structure with 500 seats and four ICT rooms that include 582 desktop computers for training and CBT exams, among other uses.

The TETFund's Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, declared the office's dedication to enhancing university infrastructure while being represented by his Special Assistant, Alhaji Buhari Mikailu.

He stated that Ebonyi State University had benefited from allocations of more than N10.8 billion for infrastructure-related activities since it was enrolled as a beneficiary.

This includes, among other things, the yearly, special, zonal, and Special High Impact interventions.

About 88.24 percent of these monies have been accessed and used to remedy the university's infrastructure problems, according to the statistics.

"We are confident that the projects implemented with these funds have significantly influenced the university's mission to support teaching, learning, and research," Echono said.
