Speaker Abbas bemoans the deaths of thirty people in the bombing of the Kaduna council.Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has expressed sorrow over the deaths of thirty people at the Tudun Biri hamlet in Kaduna State's Igabi Local Government Area due to a bomb that was allegedly thrown by Nigerian Army soldiers unintentionally.

It was said that the event happened on Sunday night during the annual Maulud celebration, which drew hundreds of local residents.

The Speaker called the event "one too many" in a news release issued by Musa Abdullahi Krishi, his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.

Speaker Abbas expressed his concern that in such situations, innocent persons going about their legal business could be killed.

The Speaker demanded that the Nigerian Army conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine what caused such "a costly mistake."

He remarked that in order to prevent a recurrence of such a regrettable situation, the Nigerian Army should investigate everything thoroughly.

In particular, Speaker Abbas extended his sincere sympathies to the families of those who lost loved ones in the Tudun Biri community, as well as to the people and administration of Kaduna State.

He prayed to Allah for them to have eternal peace and for their families to have the strength to cope with their loss.
