Sani expresses Zulum's sorrows over Waziri's passing in BornoThe people and government of Borno have received sincere condolences from Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State about the passing of Alhaji Mustapha Mukhtar, the late Waziri of Borno, one of their distinguished sons.

This is said in a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna by Muhammad Shehu, the chief press secretary for Sani.

Sani referred to the late Waziri as a distinguished scholar, a community leader, and a representative of the Elkanemi Dynasty's ideals in a condolence letter to Governor Babagana Zulum.

"A resourceful strategist and an effective communicator who served as the Chief Advisor to the Shehu of Borno during a very trying time has left Borno State and indeed Nigeria."

"I would like to express my sincere condolences to the government and people of Borno State on behalf of my family, myself, and the people of Kaduna State," he stated.

Sani prayed a lot too, asking God to grant Mukhtar's delicate spirit peace.

"May the Almighty Allah grant the ability to bear this irreversible loss to the Mukhtar family, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi, and the entire people of Borno State," Sani said.
