This came after a lengthy budget discussion on the house floor on Wednesday.
The governor gave the assembly the "Budget of Economic Recovery" on Tuesday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
During the debate, Mr. Dele Adeola—who represents the Iseyin/Itesiwaju Constituency—drew the House Committee on Appropriations Chairman's attention to the N150 million allotted for tourism, arguing that it was insufficient.
"If we truly want to revive the sector in our dear state, the money allocated to the tourism sector is too small," he declared.
But Mr. Sola Owolabi, who is a representative for Ibadan North-East II, asked his colleagues to take notice of all the details that need to be clarified in the budget plan before the heads of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) defend it.
During the plenary, Mr. Mohameed Fadeyi, the Deputy Speaker, encouraged all members with questions to address them to Mr. Sunkanmi Babalola, the chairman of the house committee on finance and appropriations.
Additionally, Fadeyi counseled Babalola to make sure his committee studied the budget proposal in order to sufficiently prepare for the heads of MDAs who would be attending the budget defense.
