Ooni visits Kuje Custodial Center and obtains the five prisoners' release. In honor of his eighth year on the throne of his fathers, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the convener of the Hope Alive Initiative for Africa and Ooni of Ife, visited the Medium Security Custodial Centers in Kuje on Tuesday.

This was said in a statement made on Wednesday in Abuja by Mr. Samuel Duza, the Assistant Superintendent of Corrections (ASC) Center's Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Ogunwusi claimed that his empathy for humanity and his conviction that people should be given another chance to make amends for their errors drove him to make the trip.

He conveyed his happiness at the cordial welcome he and his spouse had received on this momentous day and advised prisoners to view their confinement as a chance to start anew rather than as the end of their existence.

"I am here for the real people who need hope, so don't give up; your condition today will be history tomorrow," he declared.

After obtaining the release of five prisoners by paying their fines, the Ooni warned the other prisoners to behave well, follow the guidelines of the detention facility, and have self-forgiveness.

Ogunwusi pledged to provide resources to help the prisoners' skill-acquisition programs in order to support their rehabilitation efforts.

The deputy coordinator of the Hope Alive Initiative for Africa, Olori, Dr. Temitope Ogunwusi, stated in her statement that the visit was intended to consider social issues as well as commemorate the extraordinary reign of her Majesty.

She said, "We are reminded of the power of redemption, forgiveness, and second chances."

She praised Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the interior minister, and the correctional service officials for their excellent work in reforming and reintegrating the prisoners.

The Ooni and Olori were thanked by Haliru Nababa, Controller General of NCoS, for selecting Kuje Custodial Center as a symbol of their generosity.

Nababa gave them assurances about the service's dedication to carrying out its mandate, which includes the reformation, rehabilitation, and reintegration of prisoners.

The CGC warned the released prisoners to be excellent representatives of the center in their future undertakings. The controller of corrections in charge of planning, research, and statistics, Ajibogun Olatubosun, represented the CGC in this regard.

The display of goods made by the facility's convicts was the event's high point.
