On Christmas Eve in Lagos, four alleged traffic robbers are apprehended by police.
Four alleged traffic robbers were apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Sunday, December 24, 2023, according to its operators.


In a statement, Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, stated that victims had notified RRS bike riders on patrol near MKO Abiola's Garden in Ojota, Lagos, to the suspects' whereabouts.


Three Android phones and an ATM card were among the goods found from the suspects, who were taken into custody at around 7:30 p.m., according to Hundeyin.


The accused include the gang leader, Uche Ugwu (25), Adebayo Olatunbosun (20), Wale John (28), and Wasiu Olawale (23), an ex-convict who was freed in May 2023.


According to Hundeyin, five victims have been reported to RRS Headquarters, where the culprits have been positively identified.


As soon as the investigations are over, the suspects will face charges in court, according to a police spokesperson.
