My goal at New MD FAAN

My goal at New MD FAANOn Monday, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, the newly appointed Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), gave stakeholders in the aviation sector assurances about the agency's exceptional service delivery and waste blocking.

Kuku made this declaration during a meeting in Lagos, according to a statement released on Monday by Mrs. Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, Acting Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.

According to Hope-Ivbaze, the meeting was with the agency's top management following the new MD's receipt of handover notes from the previous leadership, which were provided by Mrs. Gold Iwinose, the Legal Adviser/Secretary to the Board.

She claimed that attending the conference were general managers and airport managers from all throughout the nation.

Kuku stated that her goal was to raise the level of professionalism within the organization in order to better facilitate customers' smooth travel, security, safety, and standards.

She pledged to stop leaks and enhance Nigeria's reputation.

"Waste shall be reduced to the greatest extent feasible and revenue generation will be optimized under my direction.

Employee well-being will obviously be a top concern, but I also anticipate that employees will be dedicated to giving it their all.

Enhancing institutional and human capability will be given top priority since any institution is only as strong as the people who run it.

"We will enhance the network of FAAN and work in partnership with national and international organizations to enhance Nigeria's image," she declared.

She expressed her happiness to be going back to the industry she had worked in before thanking the team and management for their hard work and promising to expand on it.

"At FAAN, my goal is very clear. I'm here to build on the great job that the previous management set and to commend everyone on their excellent work.

"We are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities towards both the country and the global society. We can improve FAAN as an organization by working together with all of you," she remarked.

She declared that she would run on President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and the policies and initiatives of Chief Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

According to her, FAAN is a national asset that serves as a tool for economic development as well as an operator of airport equipment and infrastructure.

Speaking about the difficulties the aviation industry encounters around the holidays, Kuku revealed that she had already started planning ways to deal with unforeseen circumstances at the busiest time of year for airline operations.

She gave her word that FAAN would work with sister agencies, partners, and other professional associations to guarantee seamless, secure, and safe operations all season long.

She warned the agency's employees to work hard and patriotically to make people happy and promote holiday cheer.

"Let's work together to create an FAAN you will always be proud of. Our goal is to make the agency the most productive and successful organization in Nigeria.

As managers, we have a great deal of duty to the country, the flying public, the airlines, and the global community. Come together with me to provide our guests with the most enjoyable, safe, secure, and effective airport experience possible," she urged.
