In an effort to bolster security in the state, Enugu Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah met on Thursday with Air Marshall Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, and other prominent figures in security.

In a message posted on his X Twitter on Friday, Mbah announced this as well as mentioning that he was pleased to have other Nigerian Air Force high-ranking officials in his office.

The governor added, "We held thoughtful discussions about strengthening security in Enugu State."

He declared that the people of Enugu and his administration would always be appreciative of the Nigerian Air Force's exceptional contributions to the state's security and educational sectors.

Nonetheless, Mbah stated that he is eager to enhance security and tranquility in Enugu state and, consequently, the South-East area.

He added that his administration is resolutely devoted to maintaining a cordial working relationship with the armed forces in order to accomplish this.

In a related development, Mbah noted that the South-East no longer had the sit-at-home order that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) outlawed members had declared.

During his business visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, the governor made this revelation.

"In Enugu State, and I venture to say in the South-East, we no longer have a sit-at-home policy. Monday is a workday for our employees, and Monday is also a school day," he stated.

"The economy and business are back in action. Thus, the task at hand is to expunge that painful recollection from our past.
