On Wednesday, the Lagos State government ordered articulated cars that had converted the Apapa-Oshodi expressway into parking lots to leave right away.
According to Sola Giwa, the governor's special advisor on transportation, the decree highlights the state government's dedication to maintaining traffic flow and reducing disturbances brought on by the heavy-duty trucks' continuous presence in the designated area.
Giwa stated that the goal of the order is to improve commuters' and local residents' overall mobility experiences.
The administration placed a high priority on public safety and well-being and emphasized the need for an uncluttered and open road network.
Giwa warned drivers of tankers and trailers to abide by this order or face penalties under the State Transport Reform Law.
