The revelation was made on Saturday in Dutse to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the Emirate's spokesperson, Malam Gambo Garba.
According to Garba, the Zakat—a mixture of money and food—was given to worthy households in each of the emirate's nine district councils.
He further mentioned that while grains and soaps were donated to Kazaure Reformatory Home, a portion of the money was handed to patients upon admission to Kazaure General Hospital.
The spokeswoman continued by saying that the emir of Kazaure, Alhaj Najib Hussaini, reiterated the emirate council's dedication to spreading Islam via wealth redistribution in order to lessen poverty in the emirate.
According to him, in order to lessen poverty in the community, the emir exhorted wealthy people to constantly assist the weaker and less fortunate members of society.
According to Garba, the emir urged local parents to make sure their kids received a good education that included both Islamic and Western subjects.
According to him, the emir also exhorted the locals to pray ardently for prosperity and peace in the region, the state, and the country.
The spokesperson continued by stating that Alhaji Bala Muhammad, the chairman of the council's Zakkat Collection and Distribution Committee, praised people who freely contributed alms to the poor.
