The non-kinetic method to ending the violence in the country's southeast has the support of Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha.
Recall that the Peace in South East Project (PISE-P), spearheaded by the region's National Assembly members under the direction of the House of Representatives' deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, is advocating for this strategy.
The president, the leadership of the National Assembly, the corporate and business sectors, and the entertainment industry, among others, have all expressed strong support and encouragement for the idea.
When Kalu led a group of PISE-P members to pay him a courtesy call in Abuja on Wednesday night, Achebe spoke out in support of the move and declared that it was time to bring peace back to the southeast.

"Your spirit is heading in the right direction," he stated. We have similar goals in mind. All we need to do is work together to get things done. Our goal is Igboland's peace and reconciliation. "What we can do for ourselves is our strength," he remarked.
Earlier, the deputy speaker, Kalu, emphasized that kinetic means had not resolved the region's problems and that PISE-P was designed to address the social concerns in the southeast.
He explained, "To encourage our people to settle down and stop relying solely on the government, we came up with the idea to employ the non-kinetic method, using these pillars that will encompass integration through infrastructures, skills acquisition, education, etc. Although I don't have enough time to go through them all, this has been greatly appreciated, he stated.
On December 29, 2023, PISE-P is scheduled to be publicly revealed at Bende Local Government Area, Abia State.
