Coalition of Concerned Political Parties formed by PDP, NNPP, and 5 other parties
In Abuja, seven political groups have united to create the Coalition of Concerned Political groups (CCPP), which includes the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Young Progressives Party (YPP), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) are the other five.

The seven political parties said in a statement that they have united to offer a robust opposition and substitute answers to the policies of the administration.

In their announcement, the PDP, NNPP, ADC, APM, SDP, YPP, and ZLP made it clear that the public should view their agreement as a partnership rather than a merger.

The leaders of the seven political parties gathered at the SDP National Secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja to create the movement known as the Coalition of Concerned Political Parties (CCPP).

Following the meeting, SDP leader Shehu Gabam told reporters that the coalition is not opposed to the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC).

At the meeting, Setonji Koshoedo, the PDP's acting national secretary, addressed on behalf of Umar Damagum, the acting national chairman of the party.

"This alliance seeks to provide resolute opposition for Nigeria's benefit. It is our responsibility to present alternatives to governmental policy, Koshoedo stated.
