Clear trucks from Lagos are impeding traffic on Cele, Mile-2, Tincan Road.
The articulated vehicle restrictions on traffic flow and careless parking along the Cele bus station inbound Tincan Port axis have been lifted by the Lagos State administration.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's communications aide Jubril Gawat verified the operation on his X handle.

Gawat claims that on Friday, December 22 at 12:30 am, Olalekan Bakare Oki, General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), led a squad of heavy enforcers to remove articulated trucks that were disobeying state government orders.

The operation was headed by the LASTMA Team, with support from Commander Mopol 20 and ACP Bayo Sulaiman, the head of the Special Intervention team.

Attempts to remove the trucks and tankers from the axis have failed multiple times in the past due to uncooperative drivers who disregarded the state's order to leave.

Gawat stated that Sola Giwa, the Special Advisor on Transportation, had promised ongoing enforcement.

According to Giwa, the initial decree demonstrates the state government's commitment to maintaining a smooth traffic flow.

He claimed that by making this change, the interruptions brought on by these heavy-duty vehicles' ongoing presence at the designated place will be minimized.
