Highlighting the Conference and Seminar for Nigeria Police Public Relations Officers and PR Experts held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was the induction ceremony led by Dr. Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of the Council of the NIPR, who was represented by Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, Vice President of the institute.
"This initiative is a testament to the commitment of the force towards fostering continuous training and development among its personnel," stated police spokesperson ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
"The NIPR Act, 2004, a law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that regulates professional practice in the field of public relations, is in keeping with the Force's adherence to the standards and requirements stated in the induction of these image managers into the Force.
"At the induction event, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun charged the newly inducted officers to successfully utilize their gained knowledge in their official capacity as spokespersons, with CP Olatoye Durosinmi representing IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
"The IGP emphasized the vital role these officers play in improving relations between the Police and the general public and in fostering positive communication."
Additionally, Adejobi sent his sincere gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for his unwavering support of the Public Relations Department's progress, calling it a first.
He pointed out that Force restates its commitment to maintaining professionalism, lifelong learning, and rigorous adherence to ethical standards in all areas of operation.
