Hamza, who lives on Daura Road in Kaduna, is accused of assault, intentional damage, and breach of peace. He will go on trial for these three counts.
The defendant committed the offenses on December 4 at her home, according to the prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, who testified in court.
Leo said that the defendant battered her co-tenant, Farida Garba, until she was completely broken.
He claimed that the defendant and the complainant got into a fight over a bucket of water, which led to the assault.
He continued by saying that the defendant beat the plaintiff to a pulp, tore her clothing, and threw water at her during the altercation.
Sections 166, 171, and 337 of the 2017 Kaduna State Penal Code were broken by the offenses.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), assault and damage carry a three-year prison sentence under sections 171 and 337.
The defendant was granted bail in the amount of N100,000 with one surety in the same amount by Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel.
He mandated that the surety have a job and provide proof of having paid taxes to the Kaduna State Government for the previous two years.
He postponed the case's hearing until January 15.
