Voter fraud: EFCC charges voter fraudster in Ilorin
The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought charges against Adekunle Ademola, an alleged vote seller apprehended during the recent gubernatorial elections in Kwara State.

Ademola was arraigned before Justice Mahmud Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court on a one-count charge related to vote-selling, which violates Section 121 (2) of the Electoral Act, 2022.

The charge states that on March 18, 2023, in Ilorin, Ademola agreed to receive money into his bank account for voting during the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Election in Kwara State.

Ademola pleaded not guilty, and the court remanded him in Mandala Correctional Centre, setting the trial date for December 6, 2023.

His arrest occurred at Ilorin Grammar School during election monitoring duty by EFCC officers in March 2023.
