Three-man POS robbery gang in Enugu is neutralized by police and DSS

Police and Department of State Services operatives in Enugu neutralized a three-member robbery gang on Sunday that specialized in robbing Point of Sale (POS) operators. 

The gang was engaged in a gun battle resulting in the neutralization of the members. 

Recovered items included two locally-made pistols, six rounds of 0.9mm calibre ammunition, N500,000 in cash, an operational tricycle, rolls of POS transaction printing papers, assorted mobile phones, wallets, bags, and objects suspected to be charms. 

The gang had previously robbed POS operators and their customers at gunpoint in various locations in Enugu, prompting the security operatives' response. 

Investigations are ongoing to identify other potential members of the criminal gang.
