The plot to end Sierra Leone's peace is denounced by ECOWAS.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has strongly denounced a plot by certain individuals to disrupt the peace in Sierra Leone. 

In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja, ECOWAS expressed utter disgust at the plan to acquire arms for unsettling the peace and constitutional order in Sierra Leone. 

The bloc called for the arrest and prosecution of those involved in this illegality, emphasizing its zero-tolerance for any unconstitutional change of government. 

ECOWAS reiterated its commitment to supporting Sierra Leone's government and people in their pursuit of deepening democracy, good governance, and fostering socio-economic development. 

The Sierra Leonean government has already declared a 24-hour nationwide curfew as a proactive measure to safeguard peace.
