The Federal High Court (FHC) in Abuja was operating normally as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) began their second day of strike.
Judges, employees, attorneys, and litigants in the high-rise structure were all conducting their own operations without interference, according to a check by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
NAN saw that no fewer than eight courts were in session as they moved from the building's first to fifth floors, which included the 13 courts.
Recall that yesterday's court proceedings continued unabated.
However, an emergency meeting for all staff members was scheduled for 11 a.m. today, according to a notice of congress meeting signed by the FHC chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) and its public relations officer, G.A. Maku.
The text says: "This morning at 11 a.m., all staff members are expected to gather in Ukeje Hall for an emergency meeting.
This meeting is significant because, among other things, members will receive a briefing on the union's stance on the ongoing NLC strike action and other pertinent matters.
